Liz & Jeff Wedding 12/19

WOW, what am amazing wedding for Liz and Jeff in December. Beautiful, sweet, loving, smiling couple. So many details for their wedding and so much time and effort to make their day flawless and truly spectacular. I got to work with some amazing wedding vendors that night and truly enjoyed it. Terry Cambise with A Soiree (504-259-6815) was the wedding coordinator for their wedding and did a fantastic job.  Liz and Jeff both got dressed at the grand Roosevelt Hotel, a hotel that the city is so happy has reopened! Liz had a beautiful suite at the hotel and spent some great girl time hanging out with her bridesmaids while getting their hair and make-up done and getting in their dresses.  Celeste with Make Me Up did Liz’s make-up and Warren English, 504-232-3863, did an amazing job on Liz’s hair.  Liz looked absolutely stunning and she truly was a happy bride.  And her bridesmaids – some good looking gals dressed to the nine!

Liz and Jeff chose to see each other before their ceremony and had some sweet moments on the rooftop of the Roosevelt.  I love those images of them during that time.  I love how couples forget that anyone else is around and have those first few moments together. Makes me so happy!  After grabbing some quick shots of Liz and Jeff and finishing all of the family shots, we headed to the beautifully holiday decorated lobby at the Roosevelt. Such a magical feeling in the lobby during Christmas.

Their ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception/Jesuit Church on Baronne. Such an ornate and historical church for a beautiful wedding ceremony.  I grabbed a few shots of those sweet, lovingly looks while kneeling at the altar.  The guests were then treated to a gorgeous decorated reception at The Foundry in the warehouse district.  Such a great place for a party for everyone to enjoy.  The Foundry looked truly amazing that night with florals by George Newell, 985-386-8574, uplighting, fabric draperies and gorgeous linens by CHL Linens, and a sweet looking lounge area in the back complete for guests to enjoy.  Every detail was superb and beautifully done.

Liz and Jeff’s family and friends were treated to the sounds of the great Deacon John. Deacon John and his band kept the crowd dancing all night long. Liz and Jeff truly enjoyed themselves.  Their cake was done by Zoe’s and one word for their cake – WOW.  Just WOW.  And video of their wedding was done by the truly talented Studio Vieux Carre.  I love working with Terry and Joe!

Liz and Jeff, your wedding was fantastic and I truly enjoyed it and all of the fantastic vendors I got to work with that night. You certainly put on a great party that night! Congratulations!

Erin & Jacques Wedding 12/18

Erin and Jacques had a sweet and beautiful wedding in December. Erin is so easy to work with and seems to be always smiling. The day started at Erin’s parents’ house where I hung out with her, the bridesmaids and her family. Her family is so sweet. Erin looked so excited and she looked beautiful in her wedding dress and her cute birdcage veil.  Her bouquets were stunning and done by Bella Blooms.

Erin and Jacques’ ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Agnes Church.  Jacques was full of emotion as he watched Erin come down that aisle. Wiping away tears as she approached the altar and greeting his bride.  It was a very sweet moment.  Erin was so ecstatic and full of smiles during their wedding vows. The parents watched on with so much happiness and smiles.  The reception was held at the Colonial Country Club.  The cake was done by La Louisiane.  The guests enjoyed music handpicked by Erin and Jacques.  They enjoy swing dancing, as well as most of the bridal party.  So, they strutted their stuff on the dance floor.  I think everyone enjoyed the reception, especially during the hectic holiday time. A time to enjoy family and friends.

Erin & Jacques, congratulations!

Nicole & Ted Wedding 12/5

Nicole and Ted truly had a rocking wedding. They are the most precious couple and just a joy to be around. Nicole looked absolutely fantastic! She is very beautiful and she looked amazing on her wedding day. And, Ted, you looked awesome and your bowtie looked perfect :)  Nicole and Ted live in Memphis and decided to have their wedding in New Orleans.  All of their family and friends joined them for a fun filled wedding weekend.  I heard some of the stories from the celebrations the night before the wedding and wished I was there partying right along side of them!  I know their family and friends truly enjoyed New Orleans and their fabulous wedding.

Nicole and Ted both got dressed in separate cottages at the Audubon Cottages in the French Quarter. Such a cute, quaint courtyard and precious little cottages. They then had their first meeting in the courtyard but since it was dark and a very cold night, we did a few quick shots and then headed to a warm Latrobe’s for the ceremony and reception.  Their ceremony was very personal, sweet and perfect.  Nicole and Ted wrote their own vows and talk about funny and cute! I have never heard vows spoken like the way they did and it was very unique to them.  After the ceremony, the out of town guests were treated to a second line around the French Quarter and then headed back to Latrobe’s so the party could get started!!  The beautiful flowers were done by Diane at Fat Cat Flowers and the cake was done by Flour Power.

Nicole and Ted’s guests were treated to some fabulous food by Latrobe’s and some great entertainment by Jack Magic Entertainment.  The playlist Nicole and Ted selected made their wedding reception rocking all night long.  I enjoyed every song they played! Except for that one country song Ted :) LOL.  Ted enjoys to dance so I think he truly enjoyed every single second of the reception.  Nicole and Ted are an adorable couple and I know that they enjoyed their night and it is so great to see a couple like them and see them truly happy and enjoy their wedding.

Nicole and Ted, congratulations!!!

Nicole & Robert Wedding 11/21

Nicole and Robert had a beautiful November evening wedding.  I started with Nicole, her bridesmaids and her family at her parents’ house.  They were all very laid back and calm, which is always shocking to see on a wedding day, especially when it rained the entire day and freezing.  I hung out with Nicole as she got her make-up and as her girls helped her get in her dress.  Nicole had a beautiful dress with lots of lace and a beautiful sash to accent her dress.  Robert sent her a gift to open on the wedding day, which was beautiful pearl and diamond earrings.  I grabbed some quick shots of Nicole, her family and bridesmaids and then headed to Robert’s house to spend some time with him and his groomsmen.  Nicole and Robert were so calm the entire day and so easy to work with.

We then headed to Hickory Knoll Church in Harahan for their ceremony and then off to the Elms Mansion on St. Charles in New Orleans for their reception.  The amazing flowers were done by Nola Flora. The bouquets and table arrangements were gorgeous and colorful.  Elms Mansion did an amazing job on the food and atmosphere for Nicole and Robert’s wedding and I think they truly enjoyed having their friends and family celebrate with them.

Congratulations Nicole & Robert!

Elizabeth & Bryant Wedding 11/14

I truly enjoyed being a part of Elizabeth and Bryant’s fantastic, elegant, sophisticated, beautiful wedding. What an amazing, gorgeous, sweet couple who are truly so in love and happy. Elizabeth and Bryant live in New York but just LOVE New Orleans – the food, the people, the bars, the cocktails, the character. So, they decided they wanted to get married in New Orleans! They had all of their close friends and family in town to enjoy their wedding weekend and showed their guests an amazing time and what New Orleans has to offer.

Elizabeth is truly unique in every way. I so appreciate her personality and character. The first time I met her and Bryant I was taken aback by Elizabeth :) , but it was all good feelings since Elizabeth is very strong willed and speaks her mind – which I truly love! It was refreshing to say the least.  Plus she is so outspoken she cracks me up – I think it is great.  Bryant is laid back and just smiles at her – what a perfect combination!!  Well, we clicked and I enjoyed our first meeting chatting about their wedding and their ideas and plans.  Not one detail was missed for their wedding and it showed. It was wonderful and sweet and elegant.

Elizabeth and Bryant had awesome wedding coordinators Michelle and Brittani Adams with Unique Weddings who helped with every detail before and during the wedding weekend. They always do an amazing job with their weddings.  Elizabeth and Bryant got dressed at the gorgeous Roosevelt Hotel, which the City of New Orleans is so grateful and happy our hotel is back.  Such an historical hotel with so much to offer. You can’t help to love the Roosevelt.  Elizabeth was laid back while getting her hair and make-up done and was just enjoying her afternoon with close family and friends in her room.  Her make-up was done by Robert Hudson and her hair was done by Tommy with Paris Parker. She looked absolutely stunning.  Her dress came from Gabriella New York Bridal Salon.  Elizabeth’s dress was perfect for her!  I then met Bryant on the pool level of the Roosevelt for Elizabeth and Bryant to meet for the first time on their wedding day.  Bryant was looking snazzy in his custom made tuxedo with red lining inside.  Bryant rocked that tuxedo! His tuxedo was done by King’s Tailors in New York.

Their first meeting was sweet and so cute. They got to enjoy each other for a few minutes before heading to the ceremony location.  So many great moments I got during their first meeting – sweet looks, smiles, hugs, bowtie fixing. I really love those moments when my couples meet before the ceremony. So much more emotion for the two of them and so much more of “them” shows in those few minutes.  Love it, love it.  We then headed to the Beauregard-Keyes House for more time with my couple, group shots and then their ceremony. Their ceremony was quaint with close family and friends witnessing their union. Coolbone played for the ceremony.  They wrote their own vows, which I enjoyed to hear. They were personal and they seemed like the only two people in the room while saying their vows. From the ceremony, the wedding guests were treated to a second line, lead by Elizabeth and Bryant, and Coolbone!  Everyone second lined from Beauregard-Keyes House down Royal to Latrobe’s for their reception.  Latrobe’s is my favorite place for a reception – Jessica and her crew are always superb to work with!  Latrobe’s was decorated beautifully for the reception with some gorgeous linens, table settings and centerpieces by Dunn & Sonnier. Dunn & Sonnier always do an amazing job with flowers.

Elizabeth & Bryant really enjoyed their reception and savored the moments – and the food :)  Joel’s catered their reception and all of the guests complimented on every dish served. Bryant also had specialty cocktails served for the reception that he loves and wanted to share with his guests.  The Sazerac and the French 75.  Elizabeth and Bryant enjoy great food and great cocktails, so it was wonderful they incorporated those into their reception for everyone to enjoy.  Coolbone entertained all of their guests during the entire reception and kept everyone dancing.  The details at the wedding were a great addition and a lot of hard work was done to carry out their vision.  The invitations and menus were beautifully done by Cheree Berry with Elizabeth Porcher Jones doing the calligraphy.

Elizabeth and Bryant – Congratulations! I am very thankful that I was a part of your wedding day. It was incredible and I love that I got to spend so much time with the two of you and see the great connection and relationship that you have. You were amazing to work with!  mq
