Emily & Anthony Wedding 11/7

Wow what a cool, fun wedding for Emily and Anthony! Great November weather for a beautiful wedding at sunset. I had such a great time with Emily and Anthony and their families. They are just so darned cute together and so incredibly happy!

I started with Emily and her girls getting dressed at the house. The bridesmaids were so stylish with their cute dresses and birdcage veils. Plus they had custom made earrings (made by Emily’s sister!). What a nice little addition to the wedding details. Emily looked beautiful in her wedding dress and her own birdcage veil. She was just smiling away and so happy. After all of the fabulous gals got dressed, we then headed to Destrehan Plantation for the ceremony and reception. But, first, my favorite part of the day – when Emily and Anthony had their first meeting and saw each other before the ceremony. Yep, I am going to say it again – I love when my couples see each other before!! Makes everything much more relaxed, plus we get to have fun and not be so rushed. They had a sweet, precious first meeting. You can just see the love for Emily in Anthony’s eyes. Once they had their few moments together, we got to enjoy some photography time on the grounds of the plantation.  Got some cool shots for them and one of my favorites!

Emily and Anthony had their wedding ceremony under a beautiful, aged, towering oak tree – a great symbol of the South, symbol of strength and deep roots. I truly love oak trees and the history they must have seen under their branches.  Now another part of history for that oak is the wedding ceremony, the vows and promises made by Emily and Anthony.  Such a cool thing.  The wedding reception then followed in the Mule Barn on the grounds of the Destrehan Plantation.  I am so in love with that barn!  I love old wood and loved the feel and look of the barn reception.  Their beautiful flowers and centerpieces were done by Fallo-Van O’s Floral (504-837-5338). Anthony and Emily really had a good time dancing at their reception and enjoying their guests.  Quinn Landry of Impulse Entertainment (504-382-3413) had the party going and the dance floor packed.

Emily and Anthony I had a great time with you for your wedding!!  You two are so cute and sweet and so easy to work with.  I truly love the images we got hanging out on the grounds of the Plantation.  Congratulations!
