I LOVED Melanie & Peter and their family. Melanie kept me entertained all night – she is such a happy, fun, crazy, voiceful person and I loved it. Peter will never have a dull moment with Melanie and she just makes you laugh!! Melanie & Peter love New Orleans, but live in Maryland. They decided to have a fun New Orleans destination weddding at the same time as French Quarter Festival. They invited all of their family and friends down for a whirlwind of non-stop fun and they enjoyed every second of it. They had to have been exhausted !
Melanie and Peter got fancied up at the Bourbon Orleans in the French Quarter. They decided to see each other before the ceremony (yay!) so I was lucky to have more time with them and their wedding party for a few fun pics. I thought Melanie was going to just run to Peter when she kept peeking to see him. She was so excited to see Peter for those moments together.
Their wedding was planned perfectly by Heather Hamilton-Sims with Simply Jubilee Events. The ceremony was held at the Hermann-Grima House with the courtyard reception that followed at Broussard’s. Heather had all of the details in place for their arrival and everything went smoothly for Melanie and Peter all day. The beautiful bouquets and pink arrangements were created by Diane at the fabulous Fat Cat Flowers. And, yes, Melanie is all about PINK. Pink shoes, pink flowers, pink second line umbrella, pink cake (pink phone!!). I think Melanie loves pink and that color so fits her personality. The incredibly tasting tier of cupcakes and Melanie & Peter’s pink cake were created by Sucre. Those cupcakes were the best cupcakes I have ever had (yes, I had to eat one!). They were so light tasting and so delicious – white cake with surprise chocolate in the middle (sorry Sucre if I am not perfectly explaining that!!) but oh they were so good. And, the wonderful, entertaining, rocking band Mojeaux rocked the house all night long for the couple and their guests. And, boy they know how to get down!!!
Melanie and Peter – I so enjoyed working with you and you guys were just too much fun!! I will love you forever!! Congratulations!
