Lively Wedding at Arbor Room in City Park

Bride and groom embracing during their first look on their wedding day   Lively is one great way to explain Stacy and Derek’s wedding.  Fun, exciting, rowdy, funny, loving are also all words to  describe Stacy and Derek’s wedding.  Never a dull moment with them!  They were a hoot to celebrate with.

I love Stacy and Derek’s energy and personality and it definitely showed on their wedding day.  I love seeing my couples emit their true personality in their wedding vision.  Stacy and Derek surrounded themselves with friends and family all day for their wedding day.  Stacy got dressed at a family member’s house in Lakeview.  The girls enjoyed Mimosas and getting pampered with hair and makeup professionals.  A few tense moments regarding time while getting ready, but everything turned out perfect for their first look.  Derek and his groomsmen joined the party at the house so that Stacy and Derek could have a first look and knock out all family group photos before the ceremony … and before sunset.  A well timed lighting plan works great with your photographer on your wedding day.  Utilize the time and light when it is available!

Their first look was sweet and touching … and funny.  First time ever a bride yelled “I love you” before she even got to her groom.  The giggles, the emotion, the LOVE, the sunset ligthing, the location – all WOW.  Derek was thrilled to see Stacy before the wedding since she looked GORGEOUS.  Hotness of a bride who had a vision of her bridal style and she made it happen.  Derek was looking all dapper and Stacy was so glad to see her man.  Anxiety disappears but the emotion of walking down the aisle is never taken away.  They both made a comment to me that they were SO GLAD they did a first look and actually had time to themselves to talk, interact and really see each other on their wedding.  Take time for each other on your wedding day!  Simple few minutes is all it takes whether you do a first look or not – find time in the day.  Don’t forget what the day is about – the two of you!

The ceremony started with celebrating Derek’s Irish background with a bagpiper playing as everyone was walking down the aisle.  I love they incorporated who they are into their wedding day.  Plus the bagpipes are just awesome.  It just sounded so regal.  After celebrating their newly minted marriage vows and commitment, it was time to party!  Their reception was just downright funny and full of energy.  Dancing ALL night long.  Groovy 7 rocked the house as usual.  If you don’t have a band for your wedding yet, BOOK Groovy 7.  I love working with them and they just are so talented!  Every time I work with them, every single guest compliments them and they are blown away.  Yes, TALENTED.  Stacy and Derek, wedding party, friends and family literally danced all night – it was a huge celebration.  They literally even danced AWAY from the cake cutting they were dancing so much.  I love them on every level.  Fun, stylish, enjoyable, good hearted, laid back happy people. What more could you ask for in a couple?

Stacy and Derek, you guys were AWESOME and I had so much fun at your wedding.  Best cake cutting award ever, best show by groomsmen ever (I hope someone videoed that episode), plus a wedding party that rocked and sweetest family to get to know.  Congratulations!
