Liz and Chris were truly a joy to work with. So incredibly sweet, soooo in love and so artistic. Liz is a choreographer and also owns Yoga High in New York. Chris is a musician and owns a production company in New York as well. Both very talented people. They decided to have their wedding in New Orleans since it is such a unique city with lots to offer their out of town guests – plus Chris likes the music! The day started with Liz and Chris getting dressed at the Bourbon Orleans in the French Quarter. Liz was so laid back the day of the wedding and just relaxed. Her hair and make-up was done by Natalie Deffendall of Glamour Therapy. I got to spend a lot of time hanging out with both of them as I was shooting and saw the excitement and love they both had. Chris was so cute getting dressed and all smiles.
They had their wedding ceremony at the City Park Garden Study Center with the reception following at the Lath House. Their ceremony was held right next to the lily pond. They worked with the fabulous Megan Fickling Pearson of La Partie Events in Los Angeles, California. With the help of Megan, Liz & Chris’ vision came to life for their wedding. Their out of town guests were treated with fabulous food catered by Joel’s Catering and music by Rebirth Brass Band!! The beautiful bouquet, table arrangements and the umbrellas were done by the fantastic Urban Earth Studios. I love their work and creativity. And, my favorite – the cake was done by Flour Power - and the cake was delicious with fresh fruit inside!
The coolest part of the day was when Chris sang to Liz as she walked down the aisle. He wrote a song especially for her and their wedding day and it was beautiful. They also had Karen, a friend of Liz’s, perform for the couple and their wedding guests to add a touch of Liz’s profession to the ceremony. To add to the personal touches, the ceremony was performed by a close friend and another song was performed by another close friend who had an amazing voice! Liz and Chris made their day personal and added so many things dear to their heart. They were surrounded by many friends and family who made the journey to New Orleans to witness the beautiful event and the weather turned out absolutely perfect for them!
Liz and Chris, what can I say – beautiful, sweet, touching, artistic, creative, loving. You guys were amazing and I am truly blessed to have been a part of your wedding day. Congratulations!!
