Fun New Orleans Wedding at Roosevelt Hotel | Christen & Matt Wedding

A grand New Orleans wedding for Christen & Matt!  They went all out and enjoyed every single second of their wedding day.  I have truly enjoyed getting to know Christen and Matt.  We did an engagement session, bridal session and the wedding day, and I got to see so many pieces of their love come together on their wedding day.  What a fun-loving, sweet couple.

Christen and Matt were married on a cloudy April Saturday in New Orleans. Threat of rain did not stop them one bit!  And, it never really rained that day!  They both started their day getting ready at the Roosevelt Hotel in downtown New Orleans – a grand hotel for a grand wedding!  Both suites they were in were amazing and gave me so much window light. I love window light!  They were both surrounded by family and friends while preparing for their big day.  We had such a full schedule on their wedding day, we quickly grabbed some getting ready shots, family pics and then headed to the St. Louis Cathedral for their ceremony.

St. Louis Cathedral is always an amazing place to be in.  Such an elegant, historical cathedral and Christen’s cathedral veil and Vera Wang bridal gown fit right in;) After their ceremony, they second lined through the French Quarter with gorgeous parasols and Rebirth Brass Band.  Yep, they went all out to celebrate their love.  Their expressions during the second line was just priceless.  They were having SO MUCH fun!  Rebirth Brass Band definitely rocked that second line for them and their guests.  They had a lot of out of town guests who truly enjoyed that New Orleans tradition.  From the second line, it was time to head back to the Roosevelt Hotel for their reception.

The Blue Room of the Roosevelt Hotel was just perfect for them and decorated beautifully.  Their guests sure enjoyed some amazing food and ambiance and I know they all had a great time!  The dance floor was packed pretty much most of the night and two families came together celebrating.  It is so wonderful to see two families come together all in the name of love.  Their families were a gem to work with and I am blessed I was part of their wedding.

Christen and Matt, it has been an absolute pleasure working with you both.  Your love was so amazing to witness.  Your smiles and looks say it all and I wish you an amazing marriage!!  mq
