Lovely Wedding at the Federal Ballroom | Melanie & Jay Wedding

Melanie and Jay are so into each other and in love.  They would look into each other’s eyes and not realize anyone else was around.  That was just beautiful to witness all day on their wedding day.  Melanie and Jay got dressed separately at the Sheraton Hotel on Canal Street.  She was surrounded by her beautiful friends/bridesmaids and family, and Jay was enjoying his family and friends while hanging out on his wedding day.  Melanie’s bridal style was elegant, classy, sophisticated with a side of sexy and I loved Jay’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride for the first time.  They decided to have a first look on the Sheraton balcony overlooking Canal Street and the reaction was priceless.  Melanie teared up immediately and Jay just had to keep looking at his beautiful girl.  A moment full of emotion, excitement and happiness.  I truly love, love first looks and be able to see the love just pour out of the couple with no one else around is just the best warm and fuzzy feeling.  I highly recommend seeing each other before the ceremony on your wedding day so you can spend time alone!

After some quick shots on Canal Street and some fun on the balcony, we headed to their ceremony at St. Stephens Church in Uptown New Orleans. And then the party began at the Federal Ballroom in downtown New Orleans! They treated their guests to great New Orleans food and good music.  The Bucktown Allstars entertained their guests and, as always, rocked the night.  I love working with Bucktown Allstars – you never know what they will be up to that night!  Melanie and Jay did it right and had a big party while dancing with friends, family and celebrating.  And I know they truly enjoyed every second of it!

Melanie and Jay – congratulations on your wonderful marriage and I wish you all the best.  AND, congratulations on graduating from medical school right after become husband and wife!  What an amazing month for the two of you, Dr. and Dr. and husband and wife.  That just rocks.  mq
