Lisa and Jeremy both started their wedding by getting dressed in separate penthouse suites at Harrah’s Hotel in downtown New Orleans. They were both surrounded by close friends and family – what else could be better on your wedding day? The mood was calm, fun and laid back and Lisa was taking it all in while getting her hair and makeup done in her gorgeous suite. Jeremy was hanging out having some laughs and some toasts with his guys in the suite down the hall. I love that they kept the number of people around them to a minimum which takes away stress and keeps the important people around you.
Lisa and Jeremy did their first look on Fulton Street and can I say absolute divine lighting for me that day! Great lighting AND a first look – you know MQ was happy!! I truly cannot express how much I love a first look – to see the love ooze, the emotions running high and to see the two of them all alone and reacting to each other. Sigh. First looks are so sweet and special. Love love! Lisa and Jeremy had a sweet first look and of course not complete without them giggling and smiling. Lisa truly lit up when she got close to Jeremy. That is the moment I love seeing – when the couple’s expressions immediately change when they see each other. It is a complete change in their smile and body language. I love how Jeremy is Lisa’s rock and Lisa keeps Jeremy grounded and laughing – it is that amazing compliment in their relationship that rocks. They balance each other. After some fun quick shots around The Chicory and Fulton Street and family group shots, it was time for the ceremony.
Their ceremony was held at First Presbyterian on Claiborne. I love that church – very ornate church with gorgeous stained glass, but yet in the same regard simple. After vows, laughter and exchanging rings, it was time for some dancing and fun at The Chicory! Their reception was truly gorgeous with glowing lanterns hanging overhead the dance floor and an amazing candle and floral chandelier hanging over the cake. The Chicory looked beautiful and, as always, served great food for their guests. It is a unique place with a true New Orleans feel, large spaces and a large wrap around balcony.
Lisa and Jeremy’s dance floor was packed most of the night. The dancing just got better and better. The guests were truly enjoying the night celebrating with the couple. They all were having so much fun, they decided to extend the reception for an extra hour. You never want the fun and celebrations to end and keep the momentum and drinks going! I love that they mingled all over the reception with guests and then were jamming on the dance floor with the dancing guests. I know they were having a great time as I watched the smiles, laughter, hugs and celebrations. I was actually giggling away at some of the dancing going on and I was enjoying it all. That crew definitely knows how to throw a party AND party. I love to see my couples, families and guests just really enjoying the night and letting loose!!
Lisa and Jeremy, I love you both and I cannot thank you enough for having me be a part of your wedding day. Congratulations and I wish you a lifetime of happiness and laughter. You both were just amazing to work with and hang out with. mq

Lisa,
Your comment made my year and the best testimonial I have ever read. What an amazing thing to hear and I cannot thank you enough! You both were amazing to work with and such good people!
Melissa. Some say the bride and groom never remember their wedding; if that were the case, your talent for capturing our real emotion makes reliving such a magical night possible, everyday. You clearly had a vision for how to capture our smiles, tears, and laughter, somehow blending your vision with the heart and soul of our day. Thank you very much. Lisa & Jeremy
